Jasper

At Pyramid Lake, just above Jasper Townsite, visitors can cross a little wooden bridge to an idyllic island. Jasper offers most modern amenities for tourists not too keen on "roughing it." The Jasper Park experience, however, is best enjoyed by camping. Many campgrounds, especially near Jasper, are densely populated, loud, and filled with motor homes. Those wanting a true wilderness experience should pick a campground with walk-in sites, or better yet, hike to a backwoods location.
