Second Hand Store

The following winter, in January 1978, after spending six months in India and Nepal, I returned to Afghanistan. This time I travelled north from Quetta in Pakistan to Kandahar in Afghanistan's south. In January, the climate was crisply cool, but at least the sun was bright. Kandahar's bazaars, such as this one selling used clothing, were more geared to local needs than to travellers.
