In the Hindu Kush

I spent several days at Bamiyan, recovering from the difficult journey, and enjoying its beauty and magical atmosphere. In the high elevation, Bamiyan's climate was more inviting. It made walking more pleasant, even though I was still struggling with illness. Trails on the edge of town afforded spectacular views of the Hindu Kush mountains.
