It's time for a melon break at this tire recycling
shop in Mazar-i-Sharif in the north of Afghanistan. As a
poor, desert, and landlocked country, in Afghanistan
nothing goes to waste. Tires here are cut by hand and
made into such products as buckets, rope, shoes and
