Travel Buddies

Afghanistan is a male-dominated society, at least in public, where women are secluded behind heavy shrouded veils. Perhaps in consequence, open displays of affection between men, such as hand-holding and embracing, are common. Such displays normally are not indicative of homosexuality, which is frowned upon by Islam.
