1. & 2. Dare devils perform amazing death-defying stunts on
bicycles in a big concrete bowl in Quito's La Carolina Park. At
top, they (basically local youth -- not formal performers)
invited volunteers to come down from the audience and lie on the
ground side by side. As more and more volunteers came down,
these crazed cyclists jumped over an ever-increasing number of
volunteers. Thankfully, there were no accidents. In the middle
picture, a crazed cyclist jumps through the air some 10 feet
above the rim of the bowl and then plunges 30 feet down into the
bowl, while a young woman looks on impressed. |
