Near Mesa Arch, Canyonlands National Park, Utah

Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park, Utah, is a popular spot for photographers at sunrise, though there were fewer than usual on this chilly New Years morning. The usual view was obscured by a thick fog that hung in the valley below, but it provided an atmospheric mood under the rising sun for long enough for me to take a few shots before the fog rose to obscure everything.
