Court of the Patriarchs, Zion National Park, Utah

Zion National Park has all the beautiful rock formations of areas more to the east in southern Utah, but its mountains also catch more water, allowing more vegetation. The combination is spectacular. At a lower elevation than some of the parks to the east, it had a more comfortable temperature on a winter day, around 10C (50F) and there was little snow in the bottom of the valley. HDR.
