Dark fantasies, Ottawa

This image of the Parliament buildings in Ottawa silhouetted above tulips is actually a combination of two images. In the main one, the scene was shot fairly normally, except the sky was darkened with a two neutral density graduated filters — one black and one mauve. An identical scene was shot at a darker exposure causing the Parliament buildings to go dark. The dark buildings were then layered onto the normal exposure in Photoshop.
