Description

In Québec, unlike in other Canadian provinces, beer and wine is sold at convenience stores, known as "dépanneurs." This has allowed these small, often independent, stores to flourish. In other provinces, beer can only be sold in special liquor or beer stores. This typical dépanneur is on rue Ontario Est in Montreal's Latin Quarter.
