An Indian fighting for the French fires a musket in a re-enactment in Ogdensburg, NY, of the 1760 Battle of the Thousand Islands. The battle was one in what Americans call the "French and Indian War," but is elsewhere known as the Seven Years War. That war saw France lose its colonies in North America, India and elsewhere to the British.
