Meeting on the road

If Cuba has address its automobile shortage in cities by recycling classic cars, in rural areas it has taken a more traditional approach — animal power. Carts drawn by horses or oxen, and people-powered bicycles far outnumber motor vehicles on this stretch of highway in Viñales in western Cuba.
