Sunset at Viñales

The small town of Viñales in western Cuba is known for its gorgeous scenic location, where it is surrounded by steep limestone hills called “mogotes”, which resemble the land formations near Guilin, China. Most people, including me, choose to stay in private houses in the village in the valley, but there are also two hotels. I stayed one night in Los Jazmines, shown here, where the sunrises in the misty valley are normally amazing. Unfortunately, I awoke to a cool rainy drizzle and no view, but sunset the night before, shown here, wasn’t bad. HDR.
